Kagnica Seng joined CHDI as a Data Analyst in January 2022. She works primarily as part of the Mobile Crisis Performance Improvement Center, completing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Kagnica also provides additional data analytic support on evidence-based treatment initiatives. Kagnica has over seven years of experience working in applied research settings and academic clinical research institutions. She received a master’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Health Psychology from Central Connecticut State University and a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Psychology from the University of Connecticut.
Kagnica has over seven years of experience working in applied research settings and academic clinical research institutions. Her research includes mental and behavioral health, chronic illnesses among minority populations, development and prevention of diabetes through health behaviors, and the association of psychological disorders and type 2 diabetes within Cambodian American community.
She received a master’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Health Psychology from Central Connecticut State University and a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Psychology from the University of Connecticut. She completed her thesis and Clinical Health Psychology Internship at the UConn Health Center, under the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Community Health, and under the supervision of clinical health psychologist, Dr. Julie Wagner. Kagnica remains an active affiliate of the NIH-funded study, Diabetes Risk Reduction Through Eat Walk Sleep and Medication Therapy Management for Depressed Cambodians (DREAM), where she provides input on psychological assessments and continued authorship for DREAM related manuscripts.
